June 18, 2016 Perfectly Imperfect Cancer Daily Horoscope
You might be hard on yourself today, which could be due to your desire to have everything perfect. Your self-criticism may leave you feeling preoccupied with the smaller things in life. If you find yourself approaching your work in this way, you might want to work on accepting that your perfectionism is an unreachable ideal. It is important to keep in mind that there is no way everything you do will be perfect and free from error. Remind yourself that mistakes are not only okay but are a healthy way to learn and improve yourself. Should you make a mistake today, you can gently repeat to yourself that you are doing your best, take a deep breath, and let go of any disapproval you might feel.
When we give ourselves permission to make mistakes we allow ourselves to be human. By being obsessed about the details of our work, we limit ourselves from using our work as a means of transformation. Our thoughts about what is perfect often hold us back from further exploring our ideas. While it is human nature to strive for perfection, it is also extremely human to make mistakes. If we try to control every aspect of our work, we keep ourselves restricted to what is safe in our lives and ignore the fact that some of the most useful inventions in our world actually have their origins in mistakes. Allowing yourself to make a few mistakes today will give you the means to be perfectly human, which will in turn transform your work.
