It could seem that the actions of others are holding you back today, which may make you feel stifled. While you can't control what other people do, it is important to recognize that you do have control over your reactions to unpredictable situations. Should you begin to feel that your creativity or emotions are being suppressed, you might want to reflect on how what is happening affects you. Perhaps you can scan your body and see if you notice any tension or sensation of holding. This is most likely the result of your reaction to a situation. Breathing into the areas of tension can help you not only release the tightness but also allow you to let go of any mental traps and soften your reactions to others.

Using our breath to release our physical tension enables us to also soften our mental concerns. Letting tension build in our bodies is an unconscious way for us to give others power over us. By holding on to their actions, we are reacting in a way that is neither positive nor healthy. Becoming aware of the effects others have on our body and consciously loosening them also calms our mind and makes it easier for us to gain control over ourselves. And when we have control over ourselves, there is no way others can control us. By learning how to react to others' actions positively today, you will feel a greater sense of self-empowerment and openness.
