You may feel like opening yourself up to others which could bring you to a greater level of intimacy both with yourself and with another person today. While it may seem difficult at first, if you can learn to trust yourself and your feelings, you may in turn find that it is easier to trust other people. Maybe this would be a good time to work first on creating a warm, loving and accepting attitude for yourself. If you can, you might visualize another version of yourself standing across from you. As you see this person in your mind's eye, think about what you love and cherish about them. Imagine yourself accepting everything about this person into your life with a warm heart. Once you are able to do so, you can repeat this exercise with those who are closest to you today. This may help you to truly open your heart and embrace others more deeply and completely.

Being able to trust and love others is an extension of our ability to accept ourselves unconditionally. For some of us it can seem easier to reach out to other people and offer ourselves fully to them, but unless we have the same relationship with ourselves, our love is not really as pure and total as it could be. Learning to love ourselves, however, is an important first step toward cultivating intimacy in our relationships. By developing love and trust in yourself, you will have no difficulty in fostering warmth, understanding and confidence in your dearest relationships today.
