Happy May Day! When I was a little girl, my brother and I would make little paper cone flower holders out of construction paper and pick daffodils and other spring flowers from the garden to deliver to an elderly neighbor. Every year they loved receiving this gift from us, and I remember how it made me feel so happy to see their smiles of appreciation. Think of this newsletter as my spring flower basket gift to you!
Speaking of gifts, the topic for this month is meditation, and I am a firm believer that learning to meditate is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. For those of you that have not yet experienced meditation, I would urge you to open your heart to trying it. The basic concept is to spend time each day with a quiet mind; what comes out of your quiet mind can be quite extraordinary and life-changing. When you take time each day to meditate, you create space in your life for not only peace, calm, and healing, but also the ability to center yourself. It is almost as if everything falls into place more easily because you approach life from a new place.
I always like to ask people why they don't meditate, not from a place of judgment but from curiosity so I can assist people better. A common answer is that people say they don't have time, and the next most common answer is more of a look and a feeling I get from people. It is the fear rising up in them, blocking them from something they want to try because somewhere down deep inside they know it is good for them, but the part of them that doesn't want to heal screams louder. If you are at all interested in trying meditation, I urge you to have a louder voice than your fear. I have highlighted several courses below to assist you in your meditation journey (even a beginner course offered by me).

Manage Your Time with Mindfulness by Tom Evans. In this eight-week online course you will learn time management through mindfulness techniques. This is not a learn-to-meditate course, but more about how to start viewing time in a different and more productive way. more info
I hope you find one of these course offerings useful for expanding and enhancing your life. And, now that the weather is so beautiful, why not try your new meditation techniques outside under the shade of a tree or umbrella? Sounds nice to me.
Mother Mary has often said to those who seek Her, "If you knew yourself as I know you, you could not help but fall in love with yourself." As spiritual seekers we are told often to love ourselves. But the exact details of how to do that can be elusive. Why do we still struggle with self punishing habits after trying so hard to change? What we need is an ally. Mother Mary's teachings are based in absolute love and devotion to humanity. She brings to each teaching the unconditional love and acceptance we all seek as human beings. Mother teaches that we are divine because we are human, not in spite of it. By saying yes to this course, you give Mother Mary permission to awaken this knowing in you, at whatever level your soul desires. As a result, you will experience Her teachings as unique, powerful, and practical. Throughout this course She will suggest actions to take that are simple yet profound in their ability to transform. Some include specific writing exercises, active me! ditations, new ways of looking at yourself and things to do out in the world.
