You may be focused on getting your duties done today which could put you in a productive frame of mind. Even though you feel hardworking, it might be worth your while to think about the amount of work you can reasonably do in a day. Concentrating your efforts on just a few tasks might be a way for you to work through your to-do-list without feeling overwhelmed. If you can limit yourself to a list of about four or five tasks -- half of which are difficult, the other half less demanding -- you may find that not only are you able to accomplish a lot, but that you do not feel drained in the process. Keeping your goals doable could provide you with the incentive you need to stay attentive today.

We will be much more effective when we have a manageable amount of work that we expect from ourselves. During the times when we have the energy to tackle large amounts of work, we might feel like we can take on anything. Doing this, though, sometimes lessens our motivation, for unless we have a concrete task that we can see through to fruition, we are less likely to feel that we have accomplished something useful. Mixing our more challenging duties with tasks that are easier to do, however, gives us a sense that we have attained part of our daily goal. Working in a way that allows you to see the end results of your tasks will keep you fully engaged today.
