A philosophical mood may have you thinking of people around the globe today, putting your personal challenges into a clearer perspective. Doing so may allow you to feel gratitude for your challenges once you realize that they are not as monumental as they previously seemed. While we all have a right to our feelings, it can be helpful to consider the feelings of others. Those close to us may be experiencing the same situation from another perspective, and may be able to offer some insight. But an unknown person may be going through something far more painful or challenging than the issue that is consuming your attention. When you have the chance to see the resilience of the human spirit in such situations, it may give you the courage to face your own demons with similar courage.

Being connected to the universe includes not only focusing your energy within, but then reaching out to be a part of the world. If we are only self-centered, we limit the infinite channels of assistance the universe has to offer and may become unable to relate to others in a healthy way. But when we remember we are part of a family going through a human experience, we not only have allies -- experienced guides and understanding comrades -- but also those that teach us, by example, that we can handle more than we think is possible. Today we can expand our view of the world beyond our own life to think globally, and gratefully see the lessons others have to teach us about life and the human spirit.
