You may be feeling tense today, which could have you seeking a quiet place to unwind. If we can find a quiet place to escape from it all, we should be able to breathe the silence in deeply and fill ourselves with it, so we can return to the world refreshed. Otherwise, we will need to create it within. We don't need to stay there very long, because we can close our eyes and take a deep breath whenever we need to, bringing the peace of this place back with us as we open our eyes to the world again. Today you can retreat to a real or imaginary place to enable you to release the tension you feel.

Tension can be caused by resistance to life. We may be surrounded by things that assault our senses. If we decide not to resist them, we may find our bodies relaxing. Instead of struggling to shut out the world, we can rise above by connecting to the higher place within us. From that vantage point, we can look around for something else to devote our attention to. We can look to the skies, slowing our pace to match the drifting clouds, or to the trees swaying in their own rhythm. We may want to soar with the birds or turn our faces to the sun like flowers. By connecting to the energy of nature either without or within, we can release our tension and relax into the flow of life today.
