You might be feeling nervous or anxious when facing new challenges today. But remember, it's a normal reaction. As a human being, you are hardwired for a fight-or-flight response in the face of possible danger. Rather than feeling ill at ease, you can harness the energy and turn it into excitement. Think back to previous times when you felt the same nervous excitement, and recall the feeling of success that made it all worth it. Just like any energy, it can be used positively or negatively, so make a choice to allow a rush of positive energy to carry you toward and beyond the challenges that await you today.

Remember that challenges wouldn't be challenging without something to overcome, and in overcoming we grow to know our strengths and abilities. When we acknowledge the fear and accept the worst possible outcome, it loses its power over us. Then we can move forward and do what we feared anyway, and perhaps even truly enjoy the ride.
