DailyOM: What inspired you to create this wall workout series? And what makes your wall workout course different from other programs?
Stefanie: Over my decade of coaching individuals to achieve greater strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance, I've always used wall exercises in my toolkit. They've proven to be not only super effective in delivering my clients their desired results, but also highly enjoyable! Inspiration struck when I noticed that most home workouts required either a huge amount of equipment or a significant amount of space. Knowing the effectiveness of my wall exercises, I realized it was essential to share my wall workouts with the world. The beauty of the wall is its simplicity — it's an accessible tool that nearly everyone has access to.
What makes this wall workout series different from other programs is its effectiveness. Instead of focusing on complex moves or equipment, I've curated exercises that are both engaging and beneficial, using only a wall. Unfortunately, there are many programs out there that offer fancy-looking movements to draw you in; however, while these exercises may look great, they aren't effective or efficient. I've made certain that every movement in this series and the order in which we progress is accessible and delivers results.
DailyOM: Who is the intended audience, and how do you tailor the exercises to meet individual needs?
Stefanie: The beauty of the wall workout series is its versatility. It's ideal for individuals who are limited on space, who don't have access to gym equipment, or who travel often. Recognizing the varied levels of our audience, each exercise comes with modifications — from beginner to advanced. Whether someone is just starting their fitness journey or they are a fitness veteran, there's a variation that suits their needs.
The lessons get progressively more intense throughout the series as your fitness improves and you become more accustomed to using the wall as your workout buddy. I've created the course this way so that you can continue to repeat a lesson until you feel ready to progress to the next. The wall provides support as well as challenge, so people of all fitness levels will benefit from this series.
DailyOM: Can you tell us about one or two of your favorite exercises from the course?
Stefanie: Absolutely! One of my favorites is the Spinal Roll-Down. It encourages so much awareness of posture and alignment and is supportive in nature.
This movement is amazing at cultivating a moment of introspection. As you cascade down, vertebra by vertebra, you feel a tangible sensation of each segment of your spine. This gradual motion allows you to pinpoint areas of tension or misalignment, giving you a clearer understanding of where you might be holding stress or adopting poor postural habits. It's super relaxing, and the perfect way to align the spine, which, of course, is so integral in improving posture and alignment for the entire body.
Another favorite is the Isometric Wall Sit. It looks simple, but, when done correctly, it's a powerful exercise for the thighs and glutes. The exercise truly tests one's endurance and strength. I also love how this wall sit can be adapted to all fitness levels. Sit lower to increase the challenge, or sit higher to decrease the intensity. It's so simple and so effective at the same time!

Stefanie: The wall workout series is such an innovative and versatile approach to fitness that it is crafted to function both as a complete workout regimen or be an addition to existing fitness programs.
