Tension can interfere with your ability to dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to the objectives you hope to achieve today. The anxiety you are likely feeling can cause you to spend an inordinate amount of time mulling over the future, but the visions of what is to come you see in your mind's eye may not bring you a great deal of reassurance. You can choose, however, whether you will give these hypothetical happenings power over you today by taking control of your mental wanderings. If you do your best to turn your attention back to matters that encourage you to pursue your purpose without fear, your mindset will likely grow more positive with every passing moment.

When we focus on our positive expectations rather than dwelling on negative possibilities, we are more apt to do whatever it takes to achieve our purpose. Because we see success as an inevitable part of our futures, we tend not to pay much heed to those disappointments that might otherwise foreshadow coming doom. We do not ignore unpleasant contingencies -- rather, we think about them in a focused and pragmatic fashion that allows us to overcome whatever adversity crosses our paths. Tension does not make regular appearances in our lives because we spend a great deal of our time imagining all of the goodness and happiness that is waiting for us just over the horizon. The anxiety you initially feel today will gradually fade away as you turn your attention to the positive eventualities you see in your future.
