Emily: Welcome Kate! Could you tell me what inspired you to create this course?
Kate: Hi Emily! I wanted to create this program, because there are too many people self-bashing constantly and believe that they aren't good enough, or they aren't worthy of having the life they desire. I wanted to give people an opportunity to see the other side — that with just a few techniques and practices, they can completely shift their entire perspective and life. We all have the ability to reach this part of ourselves. Oftentimes, we just need a helping hand to show us how close we already are to turning things around. All you need is the desire to change and the willingness to explore yourself, and the rest is done for you in the course.
Emily: What does the "shadow" mean, and how does it play out in our lives?
Kate: Our shadow is the unconscious part of us — the part that, without us realizing, starts to say negative things as soon as we're alone, or it chooses to stay in pain rather than heal, or it talks us out of growth, change, and possibility. Shadows come from many places, including the beliefs from our ancestors, past lives, and other incarnations. We carry all of that around with us because part of our mission, as a spiritually aware human, is to become aware of those parts and to heal them.
The shadow element influences our beliefs, emotions, and behavior. As humans, we spend about 80-90 percent of our lives on autopilot. In other words, we function from our conditioning rather than functioning from an authentic place — who we actually want to be. This keeps us stuck in jobs we don't like, relationships that don't serve us, and in levels of stress that are destined to make us unwell. Our souls don't want that for us. Our souls want us to overcome our shadows and conditioning, and live an intuitive and spiritually connected life. But it's almost impossible to trust our intuition if there are a million other voices in your head speaking louder and more convincingly.
I've written this course because without understanding those parts of ourselves, we are destined to keep everything the same. In order to change our behaviors, we need to change our beliefs. In order to change our beliefs, we need to understand our shadow and how to heal it. This course teaches you how to do that and takes you through every element of healing from becoming aware of your shadow all the way to manifesting your dreams.
Emily: Why is shadow work so meaningful to you? Do you have your own shadow story?
Kate: I was in that place for a very long time myself. I know how devastating and helpless that place can be. It's almost as though you make your own prison of conscious incompetence — you know what's not working in your life, but you feel helpless to change it. When I finally found my way out with the help of some colleagues and friends, I realized what the missing piece was for healing and a healthy, happy life.
And most people don't know it! This is something that should be taught as a life skill so that we can all take responsibility, avoid throwing our pain onto others, and create the right energy and belief systems based on real worth rather than what society or conditioning has taught.
Emily: You've mentioned that this course is not a color-by-numbers type of course. Can you explain what that means?
Kate: Yes, of course, this course provides multiple tools in the lessons, so you can find what works for you. People are different, and one size definitely does not fit all. While we all have shadows that can affect our lives, we are often at different levels of stress, living different lives, and have different sets of problems. For that reason, everyone has an opportunity to dive into the content as little or as much as they need to get the results they are looking for.
Emily: Take us through it and what people can expect.
Kate: Sure. This course is divided into eight lessons. The first two lessons are learning about your shadow — what it means and how it can impact you. I also give you ways to clear your energy. The next two lessons are on slowing down the mind and exploring how to reach the quantum field (the place where the best change takes place). We also dive into shadows without judgment or fear. The next two lessons are on how to heal and move through these issues. The final two lessons show you how to move forward in your life and manifest the life of your dreams.
Each lesson is a little different, and I use a variety of tools to help in the healing process— quizzes, meditations, questionnaires, sound therapy, a 90-day challenge, and more. You can do as much or as little as you need to reach your goals on your terms.
Emily: What kind of results are you talking about?
Kate: People experience fantastic breakthroughs in their lives when they commit themselves to this kind of work. I've seen it all — getting the kind of job they've always wanted, breaking through their glass ceilings, finding their soul partner, or even breaking the pattern of unhealthy relationships. We explore the entire wheel of life from career, to love, health, money and social life — understanding the different areas that may be impacting you and how to heal them.
This course gives people many different skills — the time to slow down and heal their mind, the ability to dive deeply into themselves without judgment or blame, and the skills and tools to heal anything that threatens to sabotage their success, as well as an incredible manifesting lesson on how to bring in their deepest desires in life.
