Cancer Horoscope: Kinder Judgments

Kinder Judgments

September 30, 2018

You may feel grossly underappreciated or even entirely unappreciated today as you strive to do your best yet attract no recognition from your loved ones, coworkers, or peers. Your response to this apparent animosity may be to deem yourself incapable of achieving your dreams and unworthy of attaining success. However, this self-directed negative attitude can make fulfilling your obligations and addressing goal-oriented pursuits difficult or impossible. Consider that while you may not receive praise from others, you can nonetheless appreciate the care and diligence with which you have approached your day's tasks. As you develop a greater level of respect for yourself through positive thinking today, what others think or do will likely cease to matter.

Since self-esteem must come from within, it is only inside of our own souls that we can find the confidence and courage that makes us feel worthy of our dreams. A lack of outside appreciation or praise can dishearten us as well as cause us to question our capabilities. Yet to recover from this type of hurt, it is necessary that we learn to appreciate ourselves and our many wonderful qualities. Realizing our dreams is most often a matter of self-assurance because our belief in ourselves acts as an intensely potent motivator. We derive enthusiasm and purpose from the lasting love we feel toward ourselves more so than from the temporary admiration we receive from others. As you nurture self-esteem within yourself today, you'll simply take pleasure in the pride you feel upon doing a well-done job.

Break the Grip of Emotional Abuse

by Jumana Sophia

If you are involved in any relationship, whether romantic, parental, familial, or career, that is defined or overshadowed by repetitive patterns of negativity, it is important that you take the time to really understand and reckon with the true cost to your body and soul that adds up when you sustain these types of relationship dynamics. While occasional conflict or challenge is unavoidable (and stimulating for growth), relationships are meant to be reservoirs of support for the courageous journey you must take into your own destiny, your own growth in this lifetime. The closest relationships in your life should be secure places where you can rest your heart and gather your strength. Many do not want to admit -- or may not even realize -- that they are involved in an emotionally abusive relationship. Emotional abuse can take many forms - neglect, verbal criticism, dishonesty, betrayal, manipulation, disrespect, or cruelty. If you are enduring any of these within your relationship, it is time to look within and find the wisdom to shift the dysfunctional relationships you're in, or the courage to step away from them altogether.

Living a Life of Grace

Living a Life of Grace

by Madisyn Taylor

When we accept that we always exist in a state of grace, we are able to live our lives more graciously.

Grace exists inside of all of us and around us. It is our inner beauty that radiates outward, touching everyone we meet. It is that unseen hand that comes from the divine, raising us up when we most need it. To be able to live in a state of grace is not based on worthiness, nor is it earned through good deeds, ritual, or sacrifice. Rather it is an unearned favor, freely bestowed and available to all, that is inherent to our birthright. All we must do is open our eyes to its presence and we will find and experience grace everywhere.

Grace is in the rain bringing relief to drought-ridden farms, and the unexpected lead for the perfect job opportunity that comes from a stranger. Grace is what happens to someone when they miraculously escape injury; it is even the simple events that happen to us that we call "good luck," like when we don't get a parking ticket after are meter has expired. Grace resides in the love between two people, the gift or check that comes unexpectedly in the mail, the cozy comforts that make up a home, and in the acts of forgiveness we bestow upon others. It is grace that moves us to go out of our way to help a stranger. Grace is the state we are in when we are doing nothing but just being who we are.

When we accept that we always exist in a state of grace, we are able to live our lives more graciously. Knowing we are graced gives us hope, makes us more generous, and allows us to trust that we are taken care of even when we are going through difficult times. Grace is our benevolence of heart, and our generosity of spirit. Grace is unconditional love and the beauty that is our humanity. When we know that we are blessed with grace, we can't help but want to live our lives in harmony.

Cancer Horoscope: Generosity In Modesty

Generosity In Modesty

September 29, 2018

A strong sense of humility can well up within you today as you look about you and see the true scope of your abundance. You may be particularly sensitive to the fact that others have not enjoyed the same opportunities or the same copiousness of resources that aided you as you sought personal fulfillment. Your response to this revelation may be complex and life-changing. A need to improve the lives of those less fortunate than yourself can drive you to offer your services or financial assistance to a charity in your locale. You may also find yourself articulating your achievements more modestly as you realize how much help and support you've been granted by circumstance. Consider, today, that the best way to use your abundance may be to selflessly share it with others.

In viewing the universal blessings we have received in the context of worldly suffering, we see just how abundant our lives truly are. It can be difficult to perceive ourselves as blessed when we compare ourselves to others. As we come to understand that most of the inhabitants of this world are not as fortunate as we have been, we are inspired by the disparateness of our respective situations to use our plentiful resources to help others. Humility motivates us to act modestly yet give generously. Though the gifts we selflessly give others will net us no earthly reward, the gratitude we receive will touch us to the cores of our beings. When you realize how completely you've been blessed today, your heart will open to those less fortunate.

Sacred Self-Care and Ayurvedic Nutrition

Sacred Self-Care and Ayurvedic Nutrition

by Sahara Rose

11,978 people have taken this course

Are you seeking to eat more in alignment with your body's natural needs, but not sure what they are? Are you curious about learning self-care practices like oil-pulling and tongue scraping but don't know where to start? Have you been seeking mind-body balance but aren't sure about the exact steps needed to get there? Well good thing we've found each other!

My name is Sahara Rose and I'm a mind-body transformation expert and specialize in making Ayurveda easy to follow and understand so it can benefit the lives of others the way it has mine. I've studied and written about Ayurveda for the past six years and worked with thousands of clients to transform their minds, bodies and spirits with this ancient healing system. In this course, I'll show you exactly how you can integrate Ayurvedic nutrition and self-care practices seamlessly into your lifestyle so that you'll be wondering why you didn't start sooner.

Ayurveda is the world's oldest health system, originating in ancient India 5,000 years ago. It is the sister science of yoga, based on mind-body balance and eating the right foods for your unique physiology, environment, digestive system and even personality type. In my Ayurvedic training in India, I found that much of the ancient suggestions are nearly impossible for the modern Western person to follow. I knew upon returning to the United States, I would no longer have time to spend hours simmering vegetables, simmering spices and oiling every crevice of my body. I also wanted to eat different types of foods besides the traditional Indian ones recommended by Ayurveda. So I created my Eat Right For Your Mind-Body Type system, infusing ancient Ayurveda with modern nutritional science and easy-to-make vegan recipes.

Mind Body Balance

In this course, I've simplified and modernized this ancient healing system so you can benefit from its timeless wisdom. In the first week, I will guide you through discovering what your unique mind-body type is and what that means in your physiology, personality, digestive system, skin, metabolism and so much more. After that, each week I'll teach you one recipe or habit to integrate into your lifestyle for mind-body balance. You'll be given exact breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes for your unique mind-body type, as well as a list of foods to eat.. and avoid.

In the second half of the course, I'll walk you through sacred self-care practices like oil-pulling, tongue scraping, dry-brushing and abhyanga self-oil massage, showing you how easy it is to lead an Ayurvedic lifestyle, without having to quit your day-job or move to an ashram. My goal is to show you that you don't need to spend hours in the kitchen or practicing self-care rituals in order to take care of your body the Ayurvedic way. My suggestions and recipes are so simple that even someone with no experience with cooking or holistic wellbeing can follow along.

The ingredients I include are extremely affordable and there is no need to splurge on expensive superfoods, herbs and equipment. I've modernized the Ayurvedic recipes to include ingredients that did not exist in ancient India 5,000 years ago, such as quinoa or sea vegetables, because I believe we can still benefit from their healing powers while leading an Ayurvedic lifestyle. You don't need to go to an Indian supermarket and find exotic spices to make them; the ingredients I use can be found at your local supermarket. Best of all, the recipes I teach you can be made ahead, allowing you to meal-prep for the week for guaranteed success.

What is included in this course:
  • 8 weekly lessons on Ayurvedic nutrition and self-care

  • Quiz on how to discover your unique mind-body type (called a Dosha in Ayurveda)

  • Exact breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes for each mind-body type

  • Sacred self-care lessons on tongue-scraping, oil-pulling, dry-brushing and abhyanga self-oil massage
With this course you will:
  • Detox your body from stored up toxins accumulated from years of not eating right for your mind-body type

  • Heal your digestion so you can break-down and absorb nutrients from the foods you eat more effectively

  • Relieve anxiety, stress and depression, which are all imbalances of the mind-body types

  • Balance your hormones by cleansing out toxins and hormone disruptors

  • Stimulate your lymphatic system, allowing you to further detox and shed fat

  • Learn how to eat the right foods for your body's unique needs, which may be different from your friends or family's

  • Discover an ancient health system that has surpassed the test of time and which all others are based on, Ayurveda

  • Deepen your yoga practice by diving into its sister science, Ayurveda which means the knowledge of life

  • Finally gain mind-body balance so you know the exact foods you eat and self-care practices you need and when
You will leave this course empowered as your own healer, knowing exactly what your body needs to feel its best. Whether you're a die-hard yogi or new to the health world, you will easily be able to apply my tried-and-trued method that guides you step-by-step into mind-body balance. I've never had a client fail if they've actually given it a shot!
